While we’re lucky that the couple of grants and sponsor donations have propelled us far enough to complete this film after three years, the film ultimately was still completed on a deficit with some workers like the sound engineer and editor differing payment until the end of the fundraise cycle. Plus we still have costs for marketing, PR, and legal fees. Any additional funds can also be used for an impact campaign to raise awareness of the key issues in the film such as Puerto Rican liberation, combatting gentrification in cities like New York and beyond, as well as housing justice. It’s been a whole production! So we appreciate your support.
